I have been given the Honest Scrap award by both Linda at Psyche Connections and Rhi at Peanut Butter Bound.  The rules are: I have to list 10 honest things about myself, and I have to pass the award along to 7 other bloggers.  Well here goes:

1) I am deathly afraid of spiders.  It's hard for me to even look at a picture of one without a shudder.

2) I like red wine.

3) I have a college degree which I am not using in my current career.

4) I have one child and sometimes I want another one and sometimes I am glad I only have one.

5) My relationship with my mother is strained at times.

6) I am a very active dreamer, I dream every night.

7) I am thinking about buying a house for the first time.

8) I have a green and blue lava lamp next to my computer.

9) I voted for Barack Obama.

10) I am a total chocoholic.

I will pass this award on to:

2) My dad at Romantic Ramblings
6) Peter at Holtie's House
7) Fred at Fred's World

I tried to post this last night, got almost all the way thru it and lost everything I had typed.  So I had to start all over this morning.  I hate it when that happens!!

Merry Christmas to all!

Thank you for the award! I actually received this just this last week but I'm honored that you bestowed it on me as well. :)

I too am so terrified of spiders that pictures give me the willies!

Christina, very interesting tidbits here. I'm curious what's your degree for?

Christina said...

My degree is a Bachelor of Arts in Communication (Speech). I had no idea what to do with it, I was only looking as far ahead as getting the degree, and getting 4 years of college over with. I changed my major a couple times before I finally settled on speech.

Nik said...

LOL. What would you use that kind of degree for? I'm clueless.

Christina said...

The title of the degree was actually "organizational communication" - we learned about interviewing, presentations, etc. It was really a business oriented speech program. Like I said, I had no idea what to do with it, but i had already changed majors twice and I had the right amount of credits to complete the degree program within 4 years, and I didn't want to be in school any longer. I am not a school type of person.

Dear Christina ~~ Thanks for your comments and I am glad you enjoy the jokes. I had a great time with Kathryn and her family.
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and Trevor finally got his fishing rod. A two and a half relative got oodles of gifts , but wondered if she hung up her stocking the next night if Santa would bring her more.
Happy New Year Christina to you and your family, Love and Hugs, Merle.

I hope your New Year is a very good one Christina, thanks for the award but as I no longer do memes I won't display it, but thanks for the thought.

Hi again Christina ~~ I really must figure out 10 honest things about myself and post the award. I have't forgotten, I'm just slow. Your list was good. Take care, Love, Merle.
